Great to meet you after the panel discussion at Transfigurations. We got to talking about Madison County&#039;s legacy of traditional balladry. Joe Penland is the artist whose name I forgot. He&#039;s a Madison County native. I recently saw him at the Bluff Mountain Festival in Hot Springs.
